Clans are in constant war over the natural resources in the world of Eastland. Much of Eastland’s technology is run on Æther crystals, found in great concentrations in underground caves, cliff faces and underwater. It is used to power advanced weapons and war machines which the major clans of Eastland can bring to bear against one another in a constant struggle for control.
Players must build their chosen faction's empire, invade other areas to gather resources, and send units to explore the world for additional resources in a constant tug-of-war over who will ultimately reign supreme.

o Forums have been added at http://www.gaslightgame.com — come and talk to us and other players and give us feedback on the game!
o The game's introduction has been completely rewritten for both factions. This should not affect games already started. Players starting new games will see the changed introductory sequence.
o Territory Expansion has been decoupled from the Archives. Expansion is now available to all players through the in-game market.
o The Steam Pump has been added. This building grants energy over time for the owner. It must first be unlocked (after being unlocked it can be built in any city made on the device). After being unlocked, it can be built upon any water tile.
o A new in-app purchase has been added for Airship Exploration which reduces the base time it takes to explore for all resources by 10% per purchase (up to 3 times). This purchase affects all explorations on the device.
o A Tax Collector has been added. It must first be unlocked (after being unlocked it is available in all cities on the device). The tax collector will quickly harvest all of the taxes from your city, saving you time and energy.
o The Archives have been reworked. It now provides a level-dependent experience boost at the cost of gold (with no cooldown). This is a good way to level rapidly.
o A new "fast" crop has been added to Mills. This crop, Cherries, takes 30 seconds to grow and provides 20 gold per level of mill.
o Buildings are now colored according to their level, making it easier to distinguish between similar buildings in the same city.
o You can now delete save files from your game by opening the 'Continue' menu and then tapping the red minus button next to a file.
o The game will now notify you when your explorations are complete (if notifications are turned on)
o All Æther purchases in the store can now also be purchased with gold.
